Be it seeing Spiderman shoot out his very first web or Superman fly with his cape across Metropolis City, we’ve grown up watching and wholeheartedly loving these superheroes. So what better way to tribute to our fond childhood memories than cherry-picking our favourite superhero shows for you! Don’t worry about it getting boring because these shows with their modern outlooks are bound to keep you on the edge of your seats.
- Daredevil
Marvel’s ‘Daredevil’ is surely one of a kind, with Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, a blind lawyer by day and a masked vigilante by night. This live-action series follows Matt on his journey, of his fight against injustice in the crime-ridden ‘Hell’s Kitchen, NYC’. This Marvel Comics hero is set apart from most by a childhood incident, which may have taken away his ability to see, but in turn, gave a blessing in disguise- heightened senses, making him the Daredevil- a symbol of justice in a corrupted city.
- Arrow
With a roller coaster of plot twists and surprising guest appearances by some of our favourite DC characters, the ‘Arrow’ gives a new look to a DC Comics hero by reinventing him for a modern-day audience. The Arrow shows the life of billionaire Oliver Queen and his war against crime using the lethal skills which he learned from his time spent as a castaway on a deserted island. This hard-hitting action series breathes a new life into the Green Arrow character making him as dangerous as the criminals he is hunting.
- The Flash
Don’t all of us wish to be struck by lightning in a freak accident and get those amazing superpowers that Barry Allen was blessed with? Oh, and those good looks too! The jaw-dropping storyline and plot twists will leave you shook. If you haven’t seen this show already, what are you waiting for? A huge bucket of popcorn and a couple of tissues to get rid of your tears is all you need.
- The Umbrella Academy
Seven mysteriously born infants were adopted by a billionaire industrialist, creating an academy to prepare his children to save the world. We’re already interested! But there’s more though, the family, unfortunately, disbands only to reunite to solve the mystery of their father’s death. Is it still not enough? An impending global apocalypse is another imminent threat. Enough to get one excited now!
- The Boys
As “original” as the show’s title may seem, the storyline of this show is actually quite the contrary, with a group of vigilantes set out to take down corrupt superheroes who abuse their powers. This Amazon Original series has quite an idiosyncratic take on the superhero genre with its outrageously entertaining character chemistry and underlying meta-corporate concepts.
From the amazing wins to the jaw-dropping twists and the heartbreaking deaths, we’re all in for these roller coasters with our favourite superheroes!
