The Viral Fever, popularly known as TVF, was started by Arunabh Kumar in 2012 along with Amit Golani & Biswapati Sarkar. During it’s initial days TVF was just a Youtube channel dominated with parodies created by a small group of people, but today it stands strong as an OTT Platform with video-on-demand service for free and their Youtube channel today has over 10 million subscribers. The first video released on their channel was a parody of the famous show ‘Roadies’, and just like the name of the channel, the video went viral too. This encouraged Arunabh and his team to keep on producing content. For the next two years, the channel kept on producing parody videos and their audience kept on increasing.
In 2014, TVF came out with Permanent Roommates, the first web show of India which later led to a revolution in the way content was seen in India. The first season of the web-series released on Youtube, and till date has garnered more than 5 crore views. On 3rd August 2015, after the immense success of their Youtube channel, TVF Play, an OTT Platform was founded by the TVF team. The second season of their much loved web-series, Permanent Roommates, was released on it. And since then TVF has been coming up with diverse and hard-hitting content every year. And that is how the vision of an assistant director, today is one of the biggest and most loved content production house of the country, giving us web-shows that have been listed in the Top 10 Web Series of India. Amazing actors, directors and writers part of the film fraternity today have got their break-through from TVF.
Over the years TVF has collaborated with many big brands and celebrities for both content creation and promotional purposes. Once started as a Youtube Channel with just 3 people, TVF now has it’s web shows on streaming platforms like Amazon Prime, Sony LIV & MX Player. It’s also going to debut soon on Netflix with Kota Factory Season 2 and on Zee 5 with Pitchers Season 2 and new seasons of four other web shows.
