My 5yo nephew is very smart. He beat me in chess today and says he wants to be the world champion. I really think he has it in him, after all, he beat a grandmaster.

I slid the folder across the table towards my son, tears in my eyes, after telling him he was adopted and he could meet his real dad. He pushed the file aside and held my hand saying he already met him the day he was adopted.

I had to punish him for the third day in a row for acting out in the classroom. We were washing beakers in the laboratory after school hours when I asked in a concerned tone,
“Is everything alright at home, Ayush?”
“Yeah. I heard you lost your son, so I thought you would like some company cleaning up.”
