Vintage wilds are limitless. Not sure if this is directly understandable but yes, this surely takes you in the maze of the vintage comebacks in recent times. The past couple of years have been a topsy turvy jungle of vague fashion trends taking their place in the industry or just a few old trends coming back and becoming the talk of the town. Having said that, in this article, I’ll be talking about the crazy vintage trends which hit the fashion tangle and made their appearance felt like never before!
•The Shades:
Vintage shades have come back with a roar in the past few years. Those roger cuts, hexagon edged shades, classic cat eyes and the chunky ones, the oversized wayfarers and whatnot. These were such a thing back in the ’80s and the mesmerising actresses slayed in these. The way they carried their high buns and wigs with these, made them look like Greek goddesses and surely looked spectacular on them. These shades started off very subtly taking comebacks in brands and then were seen almost in every nook and corner. It is how everyone around the industry started accepting it with open arms.
•The Bell Bottoms:
Whenever you hear the term bell bottom, it takes you on a round tour wilding in the retro era. How each and every person used to wear these flared pants and absolutely killed it. These pants were paired with printed shirts/ solid shirts and turtle necks by men and crop tops and tie up blouses for women. They looked so edgy and sleek on every person. Bell-bottoms came back a few years back and just made their space in no time. Every brand has a section for these in their jeans section and trust me every brand has its own USP denim when it comes to bell bottoms. From low waists to high waists, to slit pairs till embossed, this old trend made a remarkable space in our times yet again. It was beautiful to see this comeback and little did we knew, our bodies looked on point in these.
•The Faux Leather:
Leatherwear has always been a very important part of winter wear and has never left its charm. Layering with it has always been a thing and just tagging it on your self never failed to look pleasing. Earlier the longer coats or the jackets used to please the eyes of the lot. Leather skirts were also the thing once upon a time. Leather boots were to die for! And of course, how could you miss the gloves out of all. The leather trend came back in action a few years back and it became a shocker. Brands started making garments and accessories in different styles and patterns and sizes. The crowd started accepting it and using it in chic stylish ways and they looked absolutely classy. Another thing was that these were “Faux leather” which actually is fake leather which does no harm to the animals and is 100% cruelty-free. This was a very thoughtful move made, and it was much reasonable and friendly.
•Fanny Packs:
Fanny packs were yet another pair of accessories back in the days. It was either worn around the waist or was just styled across your shoulder. It looked super cool and came in different sizes and colours. They were also usually called bum bags. The style was usually among the kids for a while but then slowly escalated to almost everyone. It was often worn for picnics and was a very comfortable bag which could be carried without inconvenience. But with time the trend became blah and people did not wear it anymore around. You could see one in a lot who would wear it and people began to forget about it. But bang again, it started coming out with a very different outlook. Brands bought the style back and people accepted it with open arms and started wearing bum bags again, and now in different styles – transparent, chain detailed, street style, colour blocked, clutch style and whatnot. It started looking really chic and classic.
These trends just made an amazing comeback in the new times and we definitely accepted and carried them in the most stylish way! Y’all should try your bit and try to ace these looks as well!
